Programs at the Burrow Nature Center

Burrow Nature Center: . Here is the link with more info and registration as well: https://burrownature.org/forest-school

Volunteer opportunties: The Nature Center is looking to expand if anyone is interested in volunteering to do outreach in our area, or help teach!

Additionally, they are doing a big gopher tortoise and black pine snake restoration program. This means midstory thinning (cutting yaupon, sparkleberry, etc) this year, and thinning out the overstory (cuttiny loblolly pine, water oak) next year, as we replant native grasses and longleaf pine. And of course, prescribed fire! If you know anyone who might like to volunteer for either program, contact the Nature Center!
